  • Do I need to leave a deposit for my tattoo appointment?
Yes, we require a non-refundable deposit for all tattoo appointments. The amount of the deposit will depend on the size and complexity of the tattoo, but typically ranges from £50 to £200. This deposit secures your appointment time and ensures that our artists are compensated for their time and materials. The deposit will be deducted from the final price of your tattoo. If you need to reschedule your appointment, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance to avoid forfeiting your deposit.
  • What is the minimum age requirement for getting a tattoo at Ace of Spades Tattoo in the UK?
In the UK, it is illegal to tattoo anyone under the age of 18, even with parental consent. Therefore, our policy at Ace of Spades Tattoo is to only tattoo individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We take this policy very seriously and will always ask for identification to confirm age before beginning any tattooing procedure. It is important to us that we operate our business ethically and responsibly, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following this rule.
  • Do tattoos hurt?
The level of pain experienced during a tattoo session varies from person to person. Some people describe it as feeling like a mild sunburn or a series of pinpricks. However, other people may find the pain to be more intense. The location of the tattoo on the body can also affect the level of discomfort. Areas with more nerve endings, such as the hands or feet, may be more painful than other areas. Our experienced tattoo artists take measures to ensure your comfort during the tattooing process, such as using topical numbing creams or taking breaks when needed. Ultimately, the pain level is subjective and varies from person to person.
  • This is my first tattoo, what can i expect?
Getting your first tattoo can be a nerve-wracking experience, but don't worry, we're here to guide you through the process! Here's what you can expect: 1. Consultation: Before your tattoo appointment, you'll have a consultation with your tattoo artist to discuss your design, placement, and any concerns you may have. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions and make sure you feel comfortable with your artist. 2. Preparation: On the day of your appointment, make sure to eat a good meal and stay hydrated. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area you're getting tattooed. Your artist will clean and prep the area before starting the tattoo. 3. The tattoo process: The tattoo process itself can vary in length and discomfort depending on the size and complexity of your design. Your artist will work with you to make sure you're comfortable throughout the process. Some clients describe the sensation as a mild to moderate burning or scratching sensation. 4. Aftercare: After your tattoo is finished, your artist will give you detailed instructions on how to care for your new tattoo to ensure proper healing and longevity. It's important to follow these instructions closely to avoid complications or fading. Overall, getting your first tattoo can be a memorable and exciting experience. We're here to make sure you feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. Don't hesitate to ask any questions or voice any concerns you may have

  • How Much Is It Going to Cost?
The cost of a tattoo will depend on a few factors such as size, complexity, and placement on the body. Our artists charge per piece, Half Day or Full Day, and the price will vary based on the individual artist and their experience level. We offer free consultations to discuss your design ideas and provide an estimate of the cost. Keep in mind that a high-quality tattoo is an investment, and we always strive to provide our clients with the best possible value for their money. Rest assured that we are transparent about pricing and will never surprise you with hidden fees or charges.
  • I missed my appointment what happens now?
If you miss your appointment and do not contact us prior to your session you will be classed as a 'no-show'. This means before we are willing to tattoo you again you will be required to pay for the booking you missed plus pay for the new booking upfront! For example if you booked a full day sitting and missed it, you would be required to pay £300 for the missed booking plus £400 for the next full day sitting £700 in total. This is so we can reduce the amount of no-shows the studio has. No-Shows affect our business massively, it leaves us unable to fill your slot at such short notice.
  • How can i prepare for my tattoo?
Stay hydrated. Staying well hydrated makes your skin more resilient, which will allow it to endure longer tattoo sessions, and help you heal faster following your tattoo session. Make sure to eat a healthy, balanced meal at least two hours before heading to your tattoo session. Be especially mindful to eat before a long tattoo session and bring snacks as well.
