Bio

Starting out as a Photographer, Graphic Designer, Musician and all round creative, Karl's love of art, design and the creative image was embedded in him from a very young age. Add to this his passion for music and time spent in the back of tour buses listening and seeing the creative process in real time, only encouraged him to embrace this aspect of his life.

After a long and successful career working in the creative industries and having worked for some major clients including Aston Martin, Coca Cola, and some major blue chip brands. Karl decided to forget traveling around the world in business class and pick up a tattoo machine! Karl has always had a passion for tattoos and the culture that goes hand in hand with it. He now manages and tattoos at Ace of Spades Tattoo Studio (Halifax). Specialising in Black and Grey tattooing, Black work, realism, graphic styles and some random stuff too!
